School Uniform
Lazonby School Uniform
It is expected that all pupils wear the correct uniform. A uniform gives a sense of belonging (which is a basic principle nurtured and encouraged in our school) and it also helps to maintain the high standards of dress on which we have always insisted. Please help us to continue to achieve these standards by ensuring that your child comes to school correctly dressed each day.
School Uniform
- Navy blue jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt (plain or with logo)
- Dark grey or black trousers or shorts
- Dark grey or black skirt or pinafore
- White or sky blue polo shirt, shirt or blouse
- Black, grey or white plain socks
- Grey, navy or black tights
- Blue or blue and white standard cotton type summer dresses
- Black Sensible shoes of a simple conventional style
Fleeces may also be purchased these must be worn as an outside jacket and not as a replacement for a jumper.
KS2 children - Please note that a plain navy blue hoody (with or without badge) may also be purchased for residential activities and outside PE lessons. However, it must not be worn instead of a jumper during normal school activities.
Please ensure that all pupils wear sensible shoes of a simple conventional style. This is especially important when walking to and from the hall and around school.
The following items are available with an embroidered school logo:
- Jumpers/Sweatshirts
- Cardigans
- Polo shirts
- Hoodies
These items are available online from Border Embroideries or via Sam Scotts online or in-store in Penrith. Plain versions of all of these items are readily available and are an acceptable uniform.
P.E. Uniform
- Plimsolls or trainers, which must be kept in school.
- Navy or black shorts and a white T- Shirt or Vest.
Please note that during the winter months, dark coloured plain tracksuit bottoms or plain leggings, navy blue hoodies and a dark coloured t-shirt may be worn for outside PE. Teachers will advise parents in advance if any additional equipment is needed.
The PE Kit should be kept in a drawstring PE Bag on your child’s peg, and will be sent home at the end of each half term to be laundered. It is suggested that older children take their PE kit home on a regular basis. Please remind them to bring it back into school.
Jewellery
Children are not permitted to wear any jewellery to school except a watch and small studs if children have their ears pierced.
For sports and PE all piercings should be removed or covered, watches removed and long hair should be tied back.
Additional Equipment
School bags for P.E. equipment and a bag for school books etc.
Coats
All children should bring a coat to school every day. This is especially important during the winter months.
ALL CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH THE CHILD’S NAME
